Imam revealed that he received congratulatory messages from around 300-400 female fans on social media and he had to switch off his mobile internet so that things can be kept in control.
“After I scored the century I received calls and messages of congratulations from around 300-400 female fans. My social media was [flooded]. Finally, I switched off my mobile internet. I hadn’t even imagined scoring a century on debut. I’m happy I could be of use to the team. I’m thankful to all my fans for their encouragement,” said Iman to Geo news.
Recently, Imam created history by becoming the second Pakistani and the 13th batsman overall to score a century on ODI debut when he reached the three-figure mark against the Lankans in the third ODI in UAE.
The young cricketer also sent a hilarious reply to popular sports journalist Fazeela Saba on Twitter.
